Cary vs. CJ-opinions?

Hello. I am currently in the market for a new tube phono stage. While I am auditioning the Rhea and love it to death, I just don't think I can cough up the $$. Second choices at this point are the CJ EV1 and Cary PH302, which ships next week. I've heard CJ stuff in the past and enjoyed it, but never heard Cary as we have no dealers near where I live. I've heard good things ABOUT it, but never actually heard it. What are Cary's tonal characteristics generally vs. CJ? Someone I trust has said Cary seems a little more tubey and in some ways slower than CJ; any feedback on that? The rest of my system is Rogue 66/88 combo and MartinLogan Aeons. The table is an MMF7 with a Benz Glider HO on it.
