The easy part is how to set the meter.
Set it dc and likely the lowest setting available.
There were a number of models these amps made.
Probably your best bet is to get an owner's manual at a place like the link below. Click the green button under int amps /x100.
That will likely give you instructions and a schematic if you can verify the model year etc of your particular amp. ven if the amnual is another year it is likely to be close.
