I have found that with little or no ventilation, the coolers actually cause tubes to run hotter. With adequate ventilation, they do reduce tube temperature and potentially extend tube life. When they are new, they help reduce microphonics somewhat and sound nice. After several months, though, they begin to sound quite irritating because the o-rings holding them to the tubes get brittle (mine eventually cracked and broke). This was my experience, you might have better luck.
