I was looking through the archives for info on the AE-3 and what phono stages to use. The AE-3 seems like a decent unit, currently using a Dynaco PAS 3. I don't really want to wait the 6 weeks for a Foreplay and don't care for it's looks anyway, although sound is more important. I have also been looking at the Hagerman Cornet as a phono pre but don't know if it would be a good match, I'm not a numbers guy but am ok with kit building and the price for both is in my range. Any inmates have thoughts on this combo?
