I once attepmted to drill the guts out of a Can Capacitor as part of a restoration project... The "guts" were flying everywhere - I did this in a standup shower (to allow for the mess), but I knew what I was breathing in was not quite "right!" I tried not to take in too much, but I wasn't wearing a mask or anything. The Can and its guts originated from the early sixties. Bottom line - It didn't work out and I made a big mess! I was able to get some empty cans for the resto project soon after this - thank god! Anyway, I may have gotten myself into some trouble...Don't try this at home!
