I think you're approaching this the wrong way. Try different tubes for different sound, yes, but not for more power. Many 2A3 amps will accomodate a 45 tube which sounds very nice but will yield even less output.
To have more volume, you are best to increase this at the speakers with the use of high efficiency types.
I am already there with eficient speajers- ichard allens, Goodamns etc, all well over 96dB, but unfortunately in a big room
