Thanks for all the support to our club.There are so many great 12AU7 out there that we have not even have a chance to test the Gold Aero Platinum and RFT 12AU7 in our last 12AU7 shoot-out.
But I have compared them side-by-side before. The Gold Aero Platinum has essentially the same sonic character and strengths as the generic RFT 12AU7 as it is also from RFT. However, the Gold Aero Platinum sound ALOT more refined and smooth compare the generic RFT.
Unfortunately Gold Aero USA seem to have closed down a few years ago and the HK distributor has sold its entire stock long ago. So the best chance is probably eBay. I search the net and also found a tube seller in Taiwan at :
http://www.acdc.com.tw/accessory/tube/tube_gold_aero.htm
that also seem to carry Gold Aero stock.
