FYI, I just spoke with Chris Johnson at the Parts Connexion. Chris was president and founder of SFI and knows alot about these amps. He strongly suggested that I continue to use the Svetlana KT88. Early on there was some production issues on this tube but they have been taken care of. He said that this tube will sound much better on these amps than a 6550 tube and that Svetlana makes the best tube of this variety. I strongly suggest that if you are retubing an SFI product to call him and discuss as he understands the product better than anyone.
