Hi I was hoping some slp94 preamp owners/past and present would lend some advice on their choice of 12au7 tubes that gave the best sound. Preamp came with CARY (chinese 12au7) also seller sent jan phillips 5814A(sound terrible). I borrowed a quad of rca clear tops and think it sounds the best of the 3 sets. Any suggestions/experiences greatly appreciated as I would like to settle on a quad of good sounding tubes before I commit and buy some as a permanent set up. Thanks
