...With out the other changes you might not have heard the difference in cables.I am in the middle of up-grading the components in my tube amps and preamp and find it very hard at this point to even truly remember the sound of the system prior to the mods/ parts replacements. Hopefully it wasn't "as good" as it is now.Ah, the music!
