I was reading a thread last week that made the point that D/A conversion could be done with triodes vs silicon. Anyone tried this/read anything about it? I imagine it would require many tubes and not be very practical, but the novelty of the idea is inescapable. Would there be any advantages to this approach? Food for thought...
