Not really. That clear top gets you 90% of the cost of the best for less than 1/2 the price. I havn't found that kind of price performance relationship in the 6DJ8 tube family. The Sylvania is cheap and plentiful but in any given rig might not really be an improvement compared to current production Russian tubes. The only way to find out is to try, but personally I'd still steer towards Amperex and Siemens.Joe
