Yes, obviously as anything will affect (more or less). They are - though - very linear and have wide freq. responce as they use total local feedback so to say. But they ned to be decoupled with caps (usually), and load, and "bleeder"; and so affects the sound.>what does the cathode follower do?
Lower the output resistance to really low figures (roughtly internal resistance divided by "my"), so it may be really low for - say - a ecc81 (12au7). That is good news for ability to drive poweramps of different origin (or bi-amping), and interconnects of some length./Pär
