Tubes Asylum Questions about tubes and gear that glows. FAQ |
|
I have been auditioning the Anthem Pre 2L this weekend along with several CD players. I am finding the 2L to be much better than the typical transistor preamp – however, I am finding that the 2L is still a little to tizzy on the sibilants of a female vocal. Is there a better tube choice for the 2L? Or should I look at the SF Line 1 or a used ARC product (must be remote controlled)??I want to smooth out the top end a little more without losing control of the bottom end.
My system currently includes a Bryston 4B ST, Newform Research R645, Rega Planet.
Thanks for your help.
