I have them. they aren't bad. They do a deep wide soundstage, but the imaging is a tad small. They are very detailed, leaning towards being analytical. they are a tad harmonically lean. bass is deep and tight, treble is extended, mids are mediocre tho.Overall, the sound wasvery visual, but uninvolving. I prefer the RCA biplates prsanlly, finding them more musical and lusher, and better at getting the harmonics right. Images with the RCa are rounderand fuller as well. Lastly, th RCAs are less fatiguing in the long run. hat said, he sovteks are a good buy @ about $65/MP. They aren't availabl ye tothe public-Newsensor will have them around the end of the year.>>>I kn;ow Fi is
shipping with their new units and think it is very near the virtues of 45's.<<<
Lots of companies are sending thir amps with the sovtek tubes. As for having much of the virtues of 45s, thy sad that about the KR tubes too. Unless 45s are dark, lean, analytical sounding, they were wrong about that.
Your mlage may vary.
