Just a note - the AVVT 2A3 has been getting some good press lately. It's significantly different in design from the KR, since the two have parted company. I have not hear them against each other.I would also note that in my (admittedly limited) experiance, which tube is "best" is strongly dependent on the system, the listener, and the music. See for example the variety of percieved experience in my 300B tasting article in the current VALVE.
