Sorry, but Raydog has more experience on this than I do.
I had a bunch of time with Polk 35's, and agree they are a bit sucked out, but musical.
The 38's never really got a lot of time, perhaps a week before I took em back.
The KEF Q1;s arrived, and they became the new toy.
The 38's perhaps never really broke in, but I seem to have preferred the 35's
