New speaker Question (Sonus Faber)

206.34.216.7

Hi all,

I have been fortunate enough to inherit (or at least will inherit shortly) a pair of Sonus Faber monitors from my father (he just bought a new pair). There is one issue however. My current listening room is rather small and necessitates placing speakers close to the wall (about 4"). This hasn't really been a problem with my current speakers (Mission 701s - front ported) but the SFs have their port in the rear. I figure given the size of my room and the speakers proximity to the wall, I might be better off plugging the ports to help reduce any boom in the bass. My question is, does anyone know if Sonus Faber makes this type of port plugging accessory (or do they assume that their clientel will have the room and desire to place their speakers appropriately)? I guess I could use some socks but it seems a little chitsy given the 2K+ value of the speakers. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance guys

Sebastian
