Hi Chiggy, I'm the poster below; BTW, I'm not offended at all for the comment, and neither I would like you to be offended by mine.
I really don't get the results that you had. You had bad results with the Krell and the EVO on the Fidelios? Maybe something bad had happened to the Fidelios before or maybe it’s the source or preamp that doesn't match with the rest? Anyway, I don't question your earring (or mine) but there was evidently something wrong in the system that you have listened. You can check my system in the Inmate systems if you want to check what was different, but for sure, fortunately, in my system, it’s clear and clean that the EVO and Fidelio can be matched successfully together. I recall someone here who was pointing at the EVO as being sluggish, slow and muddy. He finally found that it was his source that wasn’t a good match with the EVO; he bought the EVO and replaced its source. Sometime we’re just not pointing in the right direction when it comes to bad matches; it’s obviously easier to tell when we found a good match!Sincerely,
Pat
