The speakers should arrive at my house this week. I don't think they were designed to compete with high end B&W's but their drivers and cabinets appear to be higher quality than the ones used in 600 series B&W's. The tweeters are used in some high end speakers (Krell, Audio Psychic, etc.) and the cabinets appear to be well finished. I'll post my comments after I have a chance to play around with them later in the week.

PS - anyone in the Chicago area with a pair of B&W's who would like to bring them by for a comparison is welcome. I am familiar with many of the B&W models (601's, Nautalus, etc.) but it's hard to compare speakers (for me at least) unless they are side by side in the same room. I should say, it is usually hard. If I really don't like a speaker's sound (on different amps, CD players, program material, etc.) I can usually remember something I don't like about it. However, if the difference is subtle, it's pretty tough.
