I used to own the Silverline SR-17's.
It is one of the best standmount speakers that I have ever heard. Clearly in my top 5 list. The only reason I sold them, is that I had too many speakers. I also owned the Sonus Faber Signums and although they sounded different from the SR-17's, I was hardpressed to pick my favorite.As far as comparisons to the GR Research Paraodx 1 (which I also own) - The Silverline SR-17 is a notch above the Paradox 1, which says more about the Paradox 1 than the Silverline, considering that the Paradox 1 is 1/5 the price!
If you listen to the SR-17, you will have a difficult time trying to find a better sounding speaker. - I have not found many!
