I heard these speakers at the Midwest AudioFest in Lima, Ohio. I thought they were great in that setup.
In Lima I also heard the Adire Audio HE10.1 and I ended up buying a pair used. This is also a great speaker. The base model kit can be purchased for much less that $500, but it is not very attractive.
I have used the HE10.1s with an ASL AQ1003 and it worked pretty well.
