The two speakers that you purchased have a sensitivity rating of about 90db. Unless you have a very large room or want very high sound pressure levels, the HK should be fine. In my experience with the MA Silver series, they seem to perform quite well with modest electronics. Unlike some high end speakers that require high end electronics. That is not to say that the MA speakers won't sound better, but the improvement is not as significant as with other brands of speakers.I have taken apart a few MA Silver series speakers and have found that the parts used for these speakers are not that great. However, these speakers sound very good, despite the cheaper parts in the speakers.
