Maggies are very nice speakers for a couple of reasons:1. Their appearance "wows" non-audiophiles and neophytes
2. In many cases they have a high WAF
3. They sound very big
4. They are, by and large, fairly neutral in their presentation. Musical too
5. Robust design - they last a long time
6. They do not present a very difficult load for amplifiers. This can mean that certain load sensitive amps can perform at their best
7. They are an excellent value
