Scan Speak version appearance delay is, my guess, two reasons. Let Vifa name be the first to be associated to the ring to hash out bugs and judge acceptance. Scan Speak has much to loose with a dud using the name Revelator (even any named follow up to that tweeter).Technically the initial versions of the Scan were more expensive with Alinco and more technically designed rear chamber. Shooting for higher efficiency, but kinda odd in that most mid/bass units it would be mated with are 6 db lower, so attenuation needed which defeats much of the reason to go higher efficiency. Resistor sound becomes a more dominate factor that just raw driver performance.
Three screw on faceplate to mag/radiator combo IS shared between the XT and the Scan (I was wrong on that point). Proto's I saw years ago, was not so.
As to the rest of the new Sf model, I can not see in any photo really what they are based on, but it seems more and more Sf highly customizes the units they get. I did not go to the main convention hall where many of the big name static displays hang out. Too much HT , Car audio blasto and cell phone crapola.
