The Thiels are too bright for my taste, and a lot of other people note this as well. Thiels do have many good qualities, and perhaps with just the right equipment and room. I find the Sapphire III LE to be just about right tonally, and as others have noted, the soundstage is to die for. But it is definitely something you should compare for yourself.
