Verity Audio Parsifals: Encores v. Standard versions v. Fidelio?

Hello. I am considering a purchase of an older version (1997)of the Parsifals, the standard (non upgrade) version. Is my money better spent on a newer used or demo pair of Fidelios. (I have less than $5,000 for this purchase) Also, if I bought the Parsifals, I could have them upgraded (blowing my budget somewhat) and I am wondering if anyone has heard the difference. Essentially, what would you do?
I would like to use a 50 w tube amp to drive these. I listen to mostly simpler music, quartets - lots of isolation of instruments. The Verity family with tubes seems to offer to me the warmth and soundstage I want.
