Well The Yamaha might be a part of it being they tend to be a bit harsh and klipsch always tend to be harsh there sorta made that way to be very efecient. you could but in a resister network inline after the crossover going to the tweeter to make them less harsh but not sure how much you would want to drop the tweeter I have a good table and scamatic on how to do this. or install an lpad inline on the tweeter but I don't like that Idia as much.
I tend to wonder why you bought klipsch if you don't like bright and a bit harsh speakers ??
Or you could really go wild and switch to a tube amp which have much nicer smooooth highs
