Your room (about 200 sqft) is not nearly big enough for B&W 801s and they are also a bit out of your price range unless you go for a really old one.If you are willing to build your own cabinets (it isn't that difficult) I would suggest looking at the North Creek Vision Signature (www.northcreekmusic.com). You could pick a version of the Rhythm if the $2600 price is too high, but that speaker is a bit larger. The driver and crossover quality is stunning and their speakers have incredible feedback on audioreview.com.
Do not limit yourself to floorstanders, your music doesn't require deep bass and monitor speakers on stands is a quite reasonable option.
Are you willing to buy used speakers? Audiogon (www.audiogon.com) has many interesting offers like ProAc 2.5 (2500), Audio Physic Virgo (2490, don't know whether you would consider them small), Alon Lotus SE (1950), Thiel CS3.6 (1700). I have only heard the Virgo and that is an exceptional speaker.
