Not a good idea. Some of those boxes have load matching resistors, and depending on the schematic, that could screw things up. Also to switch between two amplifiers, you should have break-before-make switches. Since a speaker selector doesn't need this feature, it's a good bet they didn't worry about it.Too many unknowns to take a chance. The Niles Audio amplifier selector switch is a much better idea.
