I just got a pair from my 67 year old mother, she had them for about 8-10 years I think.2 way bookshelf speaker with a metal dome tweeter. Very good looking very well made.
She liked my B&W 601 s2's better, so I gave those to her.
The Cantons sound very good with LP's and radio, but for CD's, they are a little bright for my tastes.
On the back of the speakers it says they are 4ohm, they handle 50watts DIN, 80 watts music, and the frequency range is 36hz to 30KHZ.
The 36hz makes me laugh, I don't know how low they are at 36hz, but I would have guessed the -3db to be closer to 65hz. Let's say the B&W 601s2's go lower...
As far as value is concerned, I really can't help there. I think 10 years ago they sold for $400 dollars.
