For $40? You most definately got yourself a great deal. I own the LM210 for over 10years now. These are really surperb speakers ... once upon a time, in the late 80's early 90's they were Stereophile class C rated. The LM210's were the baby brother of the LM250's.The imagining property's of this speaker is exceptional. Mind is a little shy on the low-bass but otherwise, I'm surpremely happy with them.
FYI, Synthesis was the speaker division of Conrad-Johnson.

PS: If I recall, the LM250's should also have a sub-woofer as a set ...
