I am looking to downsize from my currect Spectral/MIT Gear and I don't think Spectral/MIT is a great match for those speakers. The integrated or amp/pre-amp need not be the sonic equivilent to Spectral, but just a great match for the Signums. I would like electronics in the $2500-$3000 range.I am cautious about considering tube gear, but won't rule it out. The amp needs to drive LONG speaker cables comfortably. My electronics are on the opposite end of my room to my speakers and CAN't be relocated. My usual dealer suggested the SF Musica with Tara Labs Cable and also Naim.
I have not ruled out tube equipment, but I am afraid that I would forget to turn off the tube gear fairly frequently and changing tubes may be a problem for me as I have a physical coordination problem. I am also not entirely happy with considering CJ because of Factors other than sonic quality of CJ gear which I don't with to go into here. Again, I repeat, I have not ruled out tube gear. Any thoughts and suggestions.
