I had a friend here in Southern California I haven't seen in years who had the preceding model. When they worked, they sounded pretty nice, after he'd substituted the crossover for an ARC tubed unit and did a bunch of other stuff recommended by Infinity as well. The problem was, he had to drive 'em out the factory in Chatsworth about every second or third week to replace fried midrange 'stat panels, and this guy was never one to play them very loud. My understanding is that the 1-A's had similar problems, and I don't expect that there's anyone around to fix these things anymore.
