Go easy. If you're talking about boosting the extreme lows to gain extension you can quickly run out of woofer excursion or amplifier power. Distortion can go up quickly and it is possible to to damage an otherwise "safe" system. Same thing if you're trying to fill a "hole" in your room response, almost impossible to do with eq.
