Skip Technics. If you want good sound check out Paradigm, PSB or B&W anything else not sold a a giant chain store. And don't get hung up on power ratings. Better made speakers can often handle higher wattage anyway. And better made amps will handle most speaker impedances. Listening is more important than the numbers.
