Sober,
I lucked onto a pair of JBL L-26 speakers at the local thrift store for $5 months ago. Two way system in which the 10" woofer needed refoamed (driver 125A I think). I got that kit for $20 from a dealer in Fla. who has a large supply.Pretty easy to do and kinda fun. Since I never heard the speakers when they were new, I don't have a frame of reference whether the refoamed woofs are original spec but they're the best damn $25/ pr I've ever owned!!!!
Do your speakers have those microscopic connections in the back???
I can't use any "bad boy" cable since it's all too big. Right now I'm using 30 gauge magnet wire, but I still need some KY Jelly to squeeze that "fat" wire into the connectors.Almost forgot, the refoam kits are driver-specific. It's not a one-size-fits-all 10" woofer kit.
