Vintage JBLS?

General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

Came into a pair of JBL Radiance Series RS-123s. The drivers are LE-25-2, 305-G-1, and 312-G-1. Both the mids and woofers need re-foaming. My questions are 1)were these mid-fi at best? 2)is the sound of these speakers worthy of the cost of re-foaming- IÃ•m looking at approximately $175-$200, possibly more. 3)Other option would be to watch eBay for replacement/upgrades drivers. 4)If I upgraded with higher quality JBL drivers, would I have to change crossovers and would it be worth the hassle? The cabinets are in pretty fair condition. 5)Any links to view specs on these? FWIW- They came with 60 LPs (VG+ to M-!) for a grand total of $62.00, so I'm looking at it like they really didn't cost me anything....yet! :^)>
