And, yes, peaks are much more noticeable than dips. As a musician and recording engineer, I'm totally hip to that!

In the final analysis, some anomalies are more audible than others, some people are more attuned to certain anomalies than others, some anomalies are more or less pleasant to various listeners, and, all people like what they like, and don't like what they don't like. :)
