RE: Do you honestly think KEF LS50 is...

The KEF LS50 is one of the greatest achievements in audio marketing. As far as my LS50 experience, I spent about a week with a pair and sold them too some poor guy for what I paid. Thank you KEF marketing! The treble and upper-mids were grating to me.

I then, somehow, ended up with a pair of KEF Q150 in my home office. I have been smitten with their nearfield presentation ever since. They are on par with my former Harbeth LS3/5a's and HL-P3's and in fact more enjoyable due to their bass output. However, despite their larger dimensions, these are clearly for a small room/desktop. 8-12" inches from back wall is about all they can take before a steep drop in bass.
