RE: A sad task

I did the same for a family friend a couple years ago. He didn't have that much, just one pair of Vandersteen 3a, a McIntosh CD player, a McIntosh power amp, a Carver tuner and a cassette deck. He bought it all new and had it all about 25 years.

I cleaned it all up and sold everything except the amp, which I bought myself, had it fully serviced and still listen to it every day.
It's history only makes it much harder to ever part with it.

This subject is one that I have frequently thought about, as I really have no one that cares about my equipment as I do. I can only hope that the end doesn't come too suddenly and I have a little time to find it all good homes.
