I just inherited my step fathers "old" home theater/music system:
- Rega Mira v1 integrated amp.
- Epos ES12 bookshelf speakers.
- Epos ES line square tube speaker stands.
As you can imagine, there are some signs of age and wear: broken inputs on amp, generally worn caps/components, etc. They all work, but I wonder, how worn out or "old" do these sound vs when new?
I have an opportunity to pick up a set of the Epos M12.2 speakers, which from what I understand was the re-designed newer version of the 90's ES12 speaker from around 2009?
I've always loved the Epos line of "original" speakers, and thought they had very true real sound production. Mated with the Rega Mira, they certainly maintain "accurate" music reproduction with a great mid and upper presence.
Thoughts? Impressions?
Many thanks.
