I've had the newer Ohm 1000's for several years. Nothing I've ever tried in my small listening room (10' x 11' x 8') has come close to creating the ambient feel of the performance in this room. Actually feel the room sounds "bigger" in fact. For the record, the 1000 is designed to work in a room of this size. All genres sound very good, but the 1000 excels on smaller scale and acoustic jazz for sure. The smaller room size and its acoustics probably dictate this more than anything.
