Thanks for all the advice. It sounds like their quality and condition of drivers or the possible replacement of them just isn't worth the hassle.

I tend to get very obsessed with speakers. For about 2 weeks I was doing an all out Infinity search across the country. Before that, it was for ADS.

After all this and not liking a recent pair of BW 801 S2's, I have now fallen back in love with my B&W 802 S2. I

It seems I get the "buy different speakers" bug every 2 or 3 years. Isn't this hobby/obsession/craziness/ fun?
