RE: Speaker spike question

The more important question is what type for floor are you dealing with? Spiking to a suspended wood floor was a disaster for me. The whole room became resonant. Some form of decoupling is usually in order here. Spiking to a concrete floor yielded far superior results. Either way, spiking isn't always the solution regardless. Many have found various decoupling methods superior to straight up spiking...even on concrete floors.
