I'm only familiar with the Revel Studio 2, which in my opinion is an outstanding loudspeaker. I consider it more to neutral, it's extended on both ends and revealing. The Studio does have some controls to adjust treble and contour the bass for different placements. I also feel the Studio works best with high current amplification. The port is down firing which also helps with placement. I actually had a set in my system for awhile driven by a Pass X250, I loved the combo but couldn't get the funds together for them at the time. If memory serves the Studio was on Stereophiles recommended components more than one year and there's several published reviews if you put stock in that.
"Studio" is an appropriate name, nicely flat response without, or minimal, coloration.
