Forte Amp

The Forte was Threshold's economy model, it was not a Stasis amp and used the same output devices as the Robertson amp I believe. BTW, I have heard a lot about the Robertson amps sounding differently from one another. They had capacitors on the outputs, connecting to the binding posts. Bypass those with .1uF Teflon caps and you'll have one heck of a great sounding amp. Jon Soderburg says he can make the old Forte amps sing as well, though he may have been using Black Gate caps to do it... If I had a Forte and wanted to move up in found quality I'd talk to Jon first!
Best Regards,

Lou
