RE: Just got some Reference 3a speakers (Master Control MMC)

I always like Reference 3A - Almost bought the MM De Capo until I heard it against the AN K/Spe.

Reference 3a had problems before they began operation in Canada - apparently reviews killed them - people were ordering them Dehay opened a second shop to meet demand and the products had high failure rates with the cabinets falling apart. Expensive wood or not you have to put them together properly. They went belly up apparently when they were called just 3A. Then they came back with superior production models - building the less expensive models in Canada. (for more info on the back story see UHF magazine's review of the MM De Capo i.

Anyway, they always sound musical. The Veena is one of the better sensibly priced floorstanders.
