The PS-LF sub was used in the Design Acoustics PS-30 system (sub and two small PS-5 speakers).

The brochure for the PS-30 claimed that the PS-LF speaker is capable of handling 100 Watts continuous with peaks up to 1000 Watts for 8 continuous hours (using the EIA standard test for that era).

Design Acoustics was a division of the Audio Technica Company.
