I use full range speakers for low volume
I prefer 16cm or 20cm in an open baffle
Cruise the Goodwill shops and look for 60's-70's alnico full range speakers boxes with removable backs , I pay from 3$-$50
I stack up a bunch of speakers and hook them up to a 4 channel speaker selector box and try them out with a bunch of different amps
